I've taken several horseback rides in many destinations, this was the best! David was our guide and he not only worked with all of us (2 experienced and 1 not really) on our riding skills, he kept the tour through the trail interesting! During our...More

These guys were fabulous! We called same day and had a 1 hour ride with our patient and helpful guide Dave. My kids 10 and 7 were basically first-time riders and they had a blast. I highly recommend this trek! The ride was beautiful, mostly...More

We are beginning riders and chose a one hour trail ride. Glad we didn't go longer because we were sore from riding only one hour! That said, I'd love to have gotten out on the beach. The scenery was nice but not too exciting. The...More

We chose the 5 hour scenic ride to the ocean. What a day! Sunny and spectacular riding along through a beautiful wooded trail and ending up at the ocean. I would definitely recommend it. The horses are very good trail riding horses and know the...More

We had two children that were novices and two adults that had not ridden in awhile and it was very enjoyable. They offered several riding options from beginners to advanced. The guide was great, horses well kept and trained and scenery during the ride was...More

Few stables will let you get your horse out of first gear and a "trail ride" is just a slow walk through the woods. Well, here they let you get into second and even third gear (loping is the usual term.) I have never experienced...More

There's a toilet and great parking, and it's a good place to start an up-and-over-the-hill hike from. Don't come here in rainy season. Lots of good parking.

My sister and I just took a 3 hour (western) ride at Five Brooks Ranch north of SF. It was hands down the best ride for the time and money I have taken. We rode for a week in Ireland (english) which was unreal... but...More

Olema isn't real close to anywhere but the trails that Five Brooks has access to, the horses that you get to ride on you journey, and the guides that come along make it worth the drive out there. The rates are very competitive, they have...More

I've gone a few of these trail-rides-for-city-idiots in different locations and always had a great time. I thought that the team here was pretty disinterested in the job: they got us on the horses and got us out, and our guide seemed more interested in...More

Hi, I am looking at horseback riding on my next visit to the area. I am looking for riding on the beach along with trails. I was wondering if you thought 6 hours was way too long? That seems very very long? I have only horse backed a few times so will be bored and sore? Thanks for the feedback ~

6 hours is a VERY long time if your are not accustomed to such things. I am usually somewhat saddle sore after two hours.
