I hate to date myself, but I first rode the railway in 1969 with my high-school girlfriend. Since that time, the railroad had more than doubled in length and provides a family with a wonderful 12 minute ride through the redwoods for less than $3/ticket...More

I have been occasionally riding the Tilden Stream Trains since my son discovered how cool trains are. The staff is friendly, the trees are beautiful the train is always amazing. The price is completely reasonable for the several minutes of touring.

A must do for family fun in the East Bay. The little train steams around the hills in Tilden Park and is enjoyable whatever the weather. Dogs love it, too. Toot toot!!
