Small beach Appeared family friendly Close to road, many steps, not a beach to stroll along Plenty of grassy space, flat rocks and benches for a picnic

A romantic spot indeed. However, it’s a great spot for families with young children too. Watch out for the squirrels! They’re everywhere and are (oddly) very friendly.

This is a picturesque stretch of the Pacific Grove Coastline. There is a nice park-like area and a beautiful area from which to view the coast. There is also a small beach and Grill. Do be very careful on the rocks and the beach since...More

Pretty spot with nice views. The Beach House Restaurant has a killer happy hour which starts early. If you get there early enough you can get a table with a view.

Wife and I (late middle aged) left Monterey Bay and spent a bit of the morning here. This is great for those who just want to take a walk and enjoy the ocean which presents itself so differently here than home (for us, in NJ)....More

Beautiful park, beach, and spot to view the Monterey Bay and see marine life like sea otters, seals, birds and whales. There are plenty of sitting benches, and the coastal trail to walk. The Beach House for lunch or dinner, right at the point, is...More

A lovely white sand beach with turquoise sheltered waters for swimming, and a rocky point to watch the sea life. We saw sea otters and a few seals from the point. Also a nice little beach cafe open during the day for refreshments.

We attended an Airmen of Note concert here on a Saturday afternoon. The views of the Pacific and cypress trees were very beautiful. Picnic benches were available.

Lover's Point is known for a carpet of stunning, bright pink ice plant. I did a little research and learned that it blooms between early April through the end of May.

I was just there this week end. I really don't know about taking a BBQ onto the beach but the nice park just steps up from the beach has built in BBQ's. The park has great ocean views and is just steps from the beach.

Not sure whether this is regarding Lover's Point but if it is, it's a public area so accessible to the Public, 24/7.
