To really see the exhibits, give yourself 2 hours. If you don't, you won't get much out of it. There is a lot to read. It's interesting seeing and learning about local wildlife, etc.

There are lots of displays of wildlife of the area, and some hands-on items for the children to handle. The staff are helpful and answer questions. Check out the whale's eyeball. Admission is free although they gladly accept donations.

We stumbled upon this natural history museum while walking around Pacific Grove, during a B& B week-end. Very nice collection of local flora & fauna, and friendly docents to explain the history of the area. A nice way to spend a few leisurely hours.
