This lighthouse has been in continuous use since the 1800's, and it's still active today! The history and views from the lighthouse make it well worth the stop. You can go up in the tower, but it's pretty cramped. The grounds are spectacular too.

Oldest continuously working lighthouse in California. Very well laid out displays discussing the history and operation of a lighthouse. Check the times they are open as they do occasionally vary depending on the availability of volunteers.

Such a wonderful Lighthouse, well kept and great location. Easy to get to and a pretty drive from Monterey . Would definitely recommend making the stop.

Los Pinos Lighthouse is adjacent to a golf course and can be seen from 17 Mile Drive. The adjacent sandy and rocky beach is worth exploring, especially if you miss the limited hours that this lighthouse is open. Good views, good history, and great location!
