The trail was easy in areas and a lillttle more challenging the higher you get. We actually began on the harder part f the trail first not knowing and then coming down of the mountain was easier. Great views!!

This is one of our favorite hikes, but you need to get it done early before the heat. It is a medium hike and with switchbacks, very rocky so good hiking shoes should be worn. There are lots of people and even mountain bikers using...More

The Bump & Grind is convenient and a quick little hike. Some of the trail is up hill so you need to wear appropriate shoes and huff and puff a little on your way up. The way down is quick and safe. Don't forget to...More

We started at the Cahuilla Hills Park entrance off of Edgehill and just took the first trail up, which was Gabby Hayes. At the fork we took a right on Hopalong Cassidy and stayed on this trail as it meandered north. At one junction we...More

Bring water! This is a fantastic climb with some great views. It is some work though. Do not think you are going for a leisurely stroll. There are lots of people and some narrow paths and there are no amenities so “go” before you go.

This is a great hike. Pretty easy but quite steep and slippery on the backside. Hard on the knees on the way down but you could just do a loop and go back the way you came. Very beautiful. There is a Christmas tree in...More

Recommend ascending the steeper side (farthest entry point from trailhead). Lovely views and a good hike.

We did the Bump and Grind Trail as a group. We all enjoyed it and found it a doable activity for all involved!

We hiked there 4 times in one week, few different options and levels of difficulty and time. We started from the left side, that is stip and then ended on a longer but easy hike. Took us about an hour to get back to the...More

This was a fun hike that we’d do again. It has some good challenges but isn’t difficult. There are great views along the way!

I was the one who originally made the clockwise suggestion. The path is well marked and a lot of people on it even tho it was a weekday. I was delighted to hear that I was not the only one who preferred the clockwise hike.

Off Painters Path behind the shopping mall in Palm Desert. It's literally in the city.
