The Windmill tour is an absolute must if you visit Palm Springs. The presenter was very informative and the tour takes you right out under the wind turbines. It is a sensation that is quite unique,

The Palm Springs visitors center told us of a side street where we got close pictures. Not sure about the turbine. They might know.
