Don't let the scenic mountain vistas distract you from the task at hand: this course is relatively short at 6,400 yards and therefore demands careful club selection on many of the par fours.

Golf in Palm is pretty expensive and this course is the sort of place to just do a warm-up round at a fairly low price (only in comparison to others). the bridges over the various hazards were downright scary! Greens were in good condition. Staff were surly/disinterested and were getting a lot of grief from other golfers for the lack... More

This is a well cared for course with enough tricks to keep the high handicapper on his/her toes. The course is in excellent shape, fairways well groomed, the greens smooth and fast. This isn't a high priced exclusive course and it isn't trying to be. The green fees are very reasonable, the course isn't crowded, the staff from reception to... More

I am generally not a fan of the courses that are built around wash areas but this one is pretty good. We gave it a try because it was convenient and a decent price. It has a couple of courses over the wash area but the others are quite scenic. Not the most difficult course but a good track.

Mesquite G&CC is definitely on the decline. Both the restaurant and bar are closed. The fairways and greens are well maintained and very playable. However, there is little effort to clean up debris or repair bridges on the course. The prices are reasonable, but compared to other courses, not so good. It is a good practice facility and novice players... More

This place has seen much better days. The price is inexpensive $52 including cart, but the fairways are pretty beat up. There are some holes where you are going down a fairway on a cart path directly into someone teeing off. Not too safe. Probably fair to say you get what you pay for. NO snackbar, two of three urinals... More

Played Mesquite Club while visiting in Palm Springs. Played 9-holes after 2:00p.m. Price was $25. A fair price for what you get. Course was in OK shape, but far from being "Country Club" standards. Staff was friendly. Did run into a 6-some, but they let me play through.

After playing 9 holes at the O'Donnell Golf Course (private) we went to practice a few things at the public course Mesquite Golf and Country Club. I lived in Rancho Mirage for seven years from 2004-2011 and "then" this golf course was beautifully maintained and had a restaurant that was impressive with good food, ambiance and architectural interest. Since then,... More

Booked this through teeoff and got discounted price ($32pp). Only the back 9 was open and you had to play that twice. If we had known this we would not have booked it. This is not noted on their web site either. The greens were furry and impossible to put. This is the worst kind of shape of a course... More

While I received a discounted price, the conditions of the course still made this a terrible experience. Where there was suppose to be a creek, no water. Greens and fairways were in need of a lot of maintenance. Should have taken a photo of the sand traps, or should I say weed trap. Back 9 were a little better. Maybe... More

The golf course was in awful shape. The staff, pro shop, starter and ranger were all grumpy. The bathroom at the 5th hole was disgusting. I rented clubs, two were the same make. I cannot recommend unless there are no other courses available.
