Palm Springs open market is fun and chock full of different kinds of vendors. It's a great way to spend an evening.
Have dinner at one of the restaurants on the main street and then wander through the vendors. Great people watching and music. This is a must when in Palm Springs.

An excellent street market/fair every Thursday night! There are all types of food vendors and local artisans that stretch for blocks! One will also find musicians on a number of corners. Overall, great prople watching! Whenever I’m in Palm Springs, I like to include a couple hours walking up and down the market street enjoying a most festive atmosphere.

It is always interesting to go to the Thursday night market. You need to get there early to find a parking spot anywhere near close to the market, but other than that, it is always interesting. We love to see what all the vendors have and eat from the booths each time.

It was a fun way to spend a few hours walking up and down the strip. A variety of artisans, vendors, & food stands. Good for people watching. There's a few booths off the side of the main strip that sell 1 and 2 pound packages of quality dates at very reasonable price.

Yes there are a lot of people but it's great that local artisans have a good showcase for their products, many of which are inventive and cool as well as the soap etc guys. You are in Palm Springs, it's Thursday, you only have to walk 300m max from your hotel, go and have a wander.

Everyone visiting should experience the VillageFest at least once. Lots of cool items, food trucks and people watching. It does get very busy through the winter, so parking is a pain, go early!

So nice to be able to walk outside at night without bugs, or freezing cold temps. Good food vendors, crafts, jewelry. Felt safe and a good atmosphere.

The market is held every Thursday evening starting at 6.00pm. A large stretch off the street is closed off to traffic and local vendors ply their trades. My wife, daughter were staying in Palm Springs for 2 weeks so decided to go. We thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a large array of goods to buy and something which would interest anyone. In fact we enjoyed it so much, we went both Thursdays we were there. A nice way to spend a Thursday evening!

Many, many tents set up with food, resort wear, shoes, really nice art work, handbags, dresses, jewelry, etc. Restrooms close by. Free, covered parking. I loved the metal work art. Nice large pieces. Southwest jewelry. Real silver and turquoise.

This Street Fair just gets longer and longer as more booths seem to morph into the line. Food, art, gadgets, gimmicks and stuff. Ask the Rabbi if it is a good deal he is there to naswer questions. A must see in Palm Springs.

There seems to be confusion between VillageFest (Thurs. evenings?) & an open air market. When & where is the open air market?
