Visiting the Bay Area Stanford should be on everyone’s list. The beautiful campus, free museums, world class sports teams and an accessible tour twice a day. The only U.S. President, yet, Stanford has to show for and one of the first graduates of this prestige...More

Should you visit Stanford don't miss the view from the top of Hoover Tower. As a child growing up in Palo Alto we would ride our bikes to the tower and throw paper airplanes. The view gives you access to the heart and soul of...More

It is a beautiful place, the landscape is impressive and you can get great pictures. The ticket for entrance is very cheap

We went through the Stanford campus on our last drive down from S.F. to visit our family in San Luis Obispo and went by the Hoover Tower (fondly known as Hoover's Erection).. It still is an impressive edifice.

Basically no queue, great view of the campus and the city! It's $4 for adults to go up and get a few photos.

Long queue to go up. A quite crowded little place. You could learn a lot from its exhibitions. Nice view from the top. Go if you have time.

There is a small fee, but the wait is worth it as the view can't be beat. If the line circles along the side back to the entrance it will take about thirty minutes.

Waited 30 minutes, but the view was worth it. Could see downtown San Fran. It was chilly, take a jacket.

We were there on the weekend, an there was a lot of parking on campus. We parked near the visitors center. but there were many places closer. But I do not know about the permits required.
