Our first experience going to the top of the Hoover Tower (and my husband attended Stanford for 5 years). Small fee, and well worth it. Fantastic views of Stanford and surrounding areas. On a clear day...you can see "forever."

The tower definitely provides a stunning view of the whole Stanford campus. You get a 360 view and great photos. Nothing more, nothing less. In the entrance hall, there are two rooms, ledt and right, where you can read a bit of the university's history just before you go up with the elevator.

Was able to spend a nice sunny day here. The workers are very pleasant and knowledgeable. The view from the tower is indescribable!!

The volunteer guides add a lot to this setting. They have great stories and expansive knowledge of the tower's history. Cool view. If you are claustrophobic this might be a bit unsettling..

This is the place not to be missed when in Stanford. The view of the Tower and the garden is nice. The chapter is nearby too.

If you want excellent views of not only the Stanford campus but also the whole bay area from northern San Jose to the San Mateo bridge and an outline of San Francisco beyond, go up Hoover Tower on a clear day. You are welcome to use your camera as you enjoy the 360 degree view. You don't have to walk... More

While there is a small entrance fee to get to the top of the tower it's worth it - when you arrive at the top you have a great 360 view of the bay area

If you are visiting Stanford, you should definitely take the elevator up Hoover tower to get the "view from above". It gives you a great perspective of the Quad and the sheer size of the campus. Downstairs in the entry hall is an exhibit of the important work Hoover has done for peace.
