Excellent hike for tourists and locals alike. No better place for an interpretive, educational hike about the San Andreas Fault. Excellent guide brochure and easy to follow Trail. Numbered guideposts correspond with printed narrative. Before going, read up on the geology and the San Andreas...More

Tranquil open are for hiking high in the hills above Stanford and Palo Alto. Take the Earthquake Walk, if it's still marked,

have done several horseback rides in this area, and you will see many wild animals. Lots of coyotes, including one I had to chase after, so my sister could ride by. Great sightings of the San Anreas fault

I visited this place on the advertisement to see the effect of the San Andreas fault. Unfortunately it is not as visible or impressive as I hoped. Still this part offers a few good hikes near Palo Alto.

What a great thing about the Bay Area -- all this open space! Enjoy the beautiful hikes and views, beautiful oak trees and absolute silence. Worth the windy drive, but do take water and a sweater as it can get windy.
