Mitchella is located right in back of the prestigious Robert Hall winery in Paso Robles, we visited during the Harvest Weekend, there were appetizers set out to go with the wine tasting here. We took our tastings out to the back area where there was a pretty fountain and views of the vineyards. Some of the wines were sampled were the Rhone Blend "Shameless" which was very good, a couple of Syrahs and a Cabernet Sauvignon. The staff was very friendly here. A very nice stop while in the Paso wine trail!

I almost don't want to tell you about this winery because I'm selfish and want them all to myself !! This little villa type tasting room which sits on a Gorgeous property, is hidden behind Robert Hall and is a Must See for any whom enjoy red and white varietals. There is not a bad pour in the bunch. We enjoyed it so much we joined the club. Don't take my word for it, go see them.

My wife and I were in Paso for a getaway weekend and visited Mitchella, where we were treated like longtime friends of the family. The tasting room staff was courteous and knowledgeable, the vineyard dog was a hoot and, most importantly to me, the wine was/is superb. I'm now a club member, looking forward to club member events.

I was told to come here by Rosie over at Penman Springs (yes...you MUST also go here). Mitchella has some great wine! It's hidden by Robert Hall's huge winery up front on Mills and Mitchell roads. Small place, friendly non pretentious staff. Wine is very good! One of the best pinot noirs I've had, and other good reds, good body, flavor, nose, well crafted! This wine is better than many big tuscan styled fancy Napa wineries I've been to, and well priced. I got a bottle of their library cab. Some free fancy cheeses to have with wine also. Check them out!

We enjoyed a Sunday afternoon on the patio at Mitchella. We were able to taste their wines seated outside on the patio while listening to music. Tasting is so much more enjoyable when you can relax and enjoy it. We thought their wines were very good. We had tons of questions about wines, and the staff was so helpful and informative. The owner was there cooking up homemade pizzas to share with their guests, and she also came out and answered some questions we had. We took home a bottle of their Malbec. It was hard to just pick one, but it was our first stop of our trip. This is a definite must when visiting the east side of Paso Robles.

I investigated this winery to find a small one - in which I could engage the owners and learn more about their experieince and winemaking -- I was not disappointed.

Mitchella was a nice place to stop, their 07' Cab and the 08' Blend were worth noting, but otherwise a quiet stop. Maybe a better stop when you could be outside enjoying the views from their property, (rainy weekend). The other thing was is getting there as you turn into Robert Hall winery and kind of go around behind it.

My sister and I are avid wine drinkers of fine wine, and whenever we can we travel to differant winerys (our way of destressing :) , she on a mission for another Syra, and I just for the taste of it. I had seen Mitchella Winery tucked away behind Robert Hall, and right across the street from La Vina Robles, both excellent wineries themselves. So last weekend, we stopped and were pleasantly surprised by such fine wine, and the tasting room itself is so welcoming that you just want to sit out on the patio, and soak up the view all afternoon! The owners (who is the winemaker) themselves are on hand, and along with their staff make you feel so special whether your wine tasting for the first time, or have been tasting for awhile. Their signature wine"Shameless" is excellant, but so were several others we tried that we walked out with two bottles each! If you haven't been by, you need to stop and you will find you'll be asking yourself how you could have missed this stop on the trail! The tasting room is off the owners own personal residence, with plans to make it into a bed/breakfast in the future as we were told by staff. The tasting room has the old Tuscany motiff and with the view of the vineyards over the hills you really feel as if you are in Tuscany. Next time I go back my husband will be with me, and I know we'll always make this a stop on our way to the central coast to visit my sister. This small winery will not be small and tucked away for very long. FYI, the winery is only open weekends.

Despite paid tasting $15 per person we picked a wine based on the description of what we had in mind and enjoyed a gorgeous Rose with cheese and beautiful view.

Just quaint winery ~ beautiful views. The wines were all really good. I usually love my reds but this place had some beautiful whites. I left with two of them :) Cost appropriately $45.
