The Paso Robles Pioneer Museum provides free admission to all visitors. However, do not think that free admission equates to a lower standard. In fact, the Paso Robles Pioneer Museum is a very interesting museum that keeps many artifacts from 1800 to 1900s. Our guide, Wayne Harris told us a story about how the word “dashboard” came about from a... More

Wide-ranging collection that addressed the breadth and depth of Paso Robles History. Well organized and interesting. The latest addition, still under construction, is a facade replica of the historic Paso Robles Hot Springs Hotel.

The Paso Robles Pioneer Museum is more than just a building. It houses an entire yard of historic structures outside it's main doors. Inside, we were greeted by docents who were very knowledgeable about the area's history. This was a very nicely run, decorated, and maintained Pioneer Museum. The docents here clearly takes great pride in their role as guardians... More

This has every doodad imaginable: vintage clothing, jewelry, cookware, telephones, horse carriages, farm equipment, pharmacy bottles, etc. It's a sizable collection and we felt worth the time. The elderly lady who volunteers at the front was very friendly.

What an amazing collection of "stuff"; who would have thought there could be over 1000 different types of barbed wire!! Not only a large collection of "stuff" but many great stories that really bring alive the history of the place and area. I spent a very nice half hour or more chatting with some of the curators about the collection... More

This place is far above my expectation not only staffs are so amazing, but they have great wealth of information as well. The museum has large collection of donated items included were items from the pioneering days to telecommunications, farming, and hospital exhibitions.

One of the best historic resources in SLO county! Doesn't appear to be much on the outside,...just wait! Docents are available packed with anecdotes and info. Bob was our guide and a delight. I highly recommend this time travel experience...there is info, artifacts, pictures, names & places. It is hard to see it all in one trip.

This is a nice museum with local historical memorabilia going back a couple of centuries. I recommend it for a visit of at least one hour.

This is one of the best museum we have ever visited. It's great for all ages and the staff is very informative and so willing to add their stories to all the history of the town.
