I learned about Pipestone from the dinner menu at La Mixtura restaurant in Paso. Their syrah was listed and I loved it. This place is way up in the hills in Paso on the west side of the freeway. It's family run, and there's nothing fancy about these wines. Good wine making, with no fancy tricks. It's worth the drive

A groups of ten of us went here yesterday and the service was great and the wines were delicious. I loved their mourvedre the most! All estate wines and they only have a few acres, so it's very boutique.

Had an excellent tasting experience here. The winery is a little hard to get to but it is worth the trip. The wines are very tasty! The tasting room is very rustic complete with the option to purchase eggs from the hens they keep on property. Lucy the goat was a gem! I just loved everything about this small winery.

This small family farm uses solar power and organic, sustainable practices to produce excellent wine. Due to their small production and unique practices, they produce far better wine than you will find at the glitzy, large production vineyards. This is a must to visit while on the Central Coast as not only is the wine superb, but the vineyards are... More

I stumbled on Pipestone Vinyard around 8 years ago and return often when in Paso. It's a bit out of the way but worth it. I first fell in love with the chateauneuf du pipe. It is still a favorite but love the 100% Mourvedre the most. These are bold with deep color, and classic rhone flavors.

At the end of a quiet lane is a casual, funky, all-organic, family-owned delight in the Paso wine region - Pipestone Vineyards. The welcoming vineyard pooch and the monster-sized winery cats greet your arrival. But it is reverently-raised grapes, and the wines that result that make the adventure to a less-trafficked place in the wine galaxy worthwhile. An opening Grenache,... More

My husband and I found Pipestone because we like small wineries. When we arrived we met Florence, who owns the vineyard (with her husband), in the tasting room. Florence was very informative in telling us about the wines and their process for creating them. The wines we tasted were all wonderful. It is particularly impressive that the Pipes use draft... We were in Paso for the annual Harvest Festival. We planned this trip to visit venues that were new to us, in addition to old favorites. We plan our trip in advance and attempt to visit venues that offer somewhat of a unique experience such as food and wine paring, etc. We selected Pipestone due to location and for a... More

I had high hopes for Pipestone. We enjoy smaller wineries that are out of the way and uncrowded. We arrived at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. The dog greeted us and the very friendly cat showed us the way to the tasting room. From there, things went downhill. There wasn't anyone in the tasting room, but we noticed three men... More

Small family vineyard with high quality control and knowledge. Master Jeff and his wife Flo have a quant, organic vineyard and produce some delicious wines. Well worth the visit and the purchase. We will return.
