About
An OASIS like no other! Our tasting room is nestled amongst the hills in the beautiful south-east portion of Paso Robles in the El Pomar District. Have your tasting inside or out, overlooking breathtaking scenes that include 60 planted acres of SIP certified sustainable vineyards, 2 acres of gardens and flowers, and a grove of 130+ year old olive trees. Our grounds are perfect for a casual picnic in the sunshine or an intimate wedding. You can enjoy tableside service in the sunshine and often leave learning something new. You’ll be able to spot a wide variety of wildlife on the property, with an assortment of birds from sparrows and quail to imposing hawks and eagles. Still Waters is a family owned vineyard that is dedicated to producing small lots of premium estate wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache, Primitivo, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Pinot Gris as well as estate olive oil for tasting.

It was such a lovely property and we fall in love - it made us uncomfortable that two of the waitress wasn’t wearing the mask whole time. The host told us it was her 5th day of working and she wasn’t acknowledged at all. She doesn’t even know the process of each wine. very bummed

Our tasting guide, Eric, was the best part of our visit--funny, great stories, and terrific wine tasting info. We picnic'd with our own lunches, and even in 111 degree heat sitting outside, we had a wonderful time at Still Waters. Highly recommend a visit. Very friendly folks and fabulous wine.

If you stop here you won’t want to leave. The grounds are beautiful and welcoming and the staff is personable and attentive. Sit outside amongst 100 year old olive trees and view the vineyard below! The wine is delicious and well balanced! It’s a winner!

The setting is gorgeous and we enjoyed a wonderful bottle of their Barrel Select Chardonnay along with a picnic we brought from nearby Mr Pickles Sandwich Shop in Paso.
Nikki was wonderful at making us feel so welcome. They welcome outside food (which is rare these days) and their grounds are spectacular and wines are too! We can't wait to return!

Hubs and I do a LOT of wine tasting. We live in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and on our last trip, visited four different California wine regions. But I must say, our experience at Still Waters Vineyards was one of the best I've ever had.

Wine tasting is more than just the wine. You want to learn a little, Relax, Be a bit pampered or, at least, feel welcomed. I like to actually see the grapes beyond my wineglass. And Still Waters hit all the boxes.

To begin with, the tasting room is AT the winery with a beautiful view and manicured gardens. In the summer or warm spring/fall days, it must be a delight to taste outside. But this was winter. The tasting room was beautifully decorated for Christmas. A fully-decked out tree before the fireplace. A deep, comfy couch invited us to stay.

Unfortunately, I don't recall the server's name, but he came to us with the wine glass and each individual bottle (we shared a tasting - hubs had a cold), sat down on a nearby chair, and told us a lot about the individuality of every wine.He made us feel like old friends. And he never rushed us or pushed us to purchase any of the wines.

The wines were good. Really good. We bought about a case. Luckily we rented an SUV.

Oh, and Johnny, the "winery cat" was an added bonus.

Finding this place can be a little challenging as it is away from the hustle and bustle of Paso but it is so worth the trip. When you park at this small estate you feel like you are pulling into someone's house...and it way...you are! You would think that a small place like this would have limited tastings but they have a very diverse and wonderful selection to choose from that will be sure to please everyone. We took a tour with Paul, the owner, and he made the magic of the place shine as we got deep into the history not only of the winery but the whole area itself. He is one of the old school wine growers in the region and full of knowledge. He is rightfully proud of his winery, estate, and place in the hierarchy.
The grounds are nothing short of stunning. Sweeping valley views, centuries old olive trees, expansive picnic grounds make this a spot to relax, eat, drink, get married, whatever you tastes and desire might be! Bringing some sandwiches and consuming copious amounts of wine seem to be what this place was designed to elicit. Plan accordingly and be rewarded in spades!

I was visiting my cousins in San Luis Obispo and they offered to take me to one of their favorite local wineries in Paso Robles. Needless to say I was up for it and we landed here at Still Waters. What a truly idyllic destination this is! Absolutely breathtaking views of the vine covered hills for as far as the eye can see and definitely off the beaten path with no traffic or "city noise" whatsoever. Very quaint and cozy feel inside. No pretentious attitudes and a very welcoming vibe. I cannot even fathom how incredible it must feel for the owner to wake up every day in his home on this property! No wonder he's so happy and friendly! Now that's what I call living well in retirement. Amanda was our hostess for the day and she was such a sweet, well informed and patient educator of the world of wines at Still Waters. We thoroughly enjoyed our flights as we were gently guided to each subsequent tasting based on our feedback of the previous glass. Such a pleasant young lady and she was even able to pair me with my newest favorite: Viognier. I have to say, she is quite the match maker because I think I am in love! Still Waters is perfect for friends, lovers, family gatherings, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or just about any other occasion you can think of. I would most definitely go back on my next visit to the area. Long live Still Waters!

Our wedding party went here as part of a wedding day wine tasting tour. We were warmly welcomed and seating outside where we were well cared for. The setting is idyllic but because of our schedule we didn't have enough time to savor the grounds, although we did have enough time for the wine - I absolutely loved the Fisherman of Still Waters. I'm looking for another opportunity to return and this time with more time for a picnic (and more wine).

We were at a group tasting and lunch event... the owner/winemaker lead us through the olive orchards and vineyards, explaining how he planted and managed the vines... he showed us how he pruned... (it was pruning season) the lead the tasting... and a blending contest...

I have grown up in CA and have visited wineries since the 1970's... I learned more on this tour than on any before... The owner's passion was obvious... the wines delicious... we had lunch in one of the olive orchards...food prepared in part by the owner's wife... The chicken, cooked over grape vine prunings was wonderful... the two salads even better...

It is a beautiful vineyard... He is one of the few wine estates (wines made exclusively from grapes grown by the wine maker) The wines reflect the owner's passion... (I used passion twice... but it kind of defines the visit)

The sell exclusively from the winery... and as a result their prices are pretty reasonable for the quality of the wine...

The site is also available for weddings and such...
