Cass Winery was an average Paso Robles wine country experience. Lovely setting, good food, very nice wine, terrible customer service. The extremely substandard service started from the moment we arrived (on time) for our lunch reservation until we left our table an hour and a half later. The restaurant needs a new manager who will see to it that the employees are properly trained. Overall we had a good time, but it's likely that we'll look elsewhere the next time we want a winery lunch.

The food was delicious, the wines soso. Our party of six had a variety of lunch options ranging from plant-based sandwich and salad to pulled pork sandwich...the gluten free bread BLAT was yummy. Nice people, busy so A little slow on service.
Recommend reservations for larger parties.

The service was excellent - super friendly, but low key, and very knowledgeable about their wine. Very much appreciated that.

The food was okay, but we really wanted to taste the wine, which was really good.

Ambiance was really nice as well - they do a great job with the space and location. We would definitely go back.

Visiting Cass Winery was one of the highlights of our trip. We tried a few wines and they were all fantastic, and service was impeccable. We had a laid back lunch with great food, and overall just really enjoyed our time here. Sadly we couldn’t enjoy the wine tasting as they were short staffed, but the wines we ended up ordering were all delightful in their own ways.

We were visiting Paso Robles and friends had recommended we eat lunch at Cass Winery. We did the tasting menu #2 and had lunch while we were sipping the wines. The wines were good, my wife bought a couple of the whites and I purchased a red. The food was excellent- we had crab cakes, pulled pork and chicken sandwiches, and demi baguette. Our traveling mates had been there before and vouched for several other menu items. Our server was attentive and helpful. Would definitely go back.

Honestly the food was great but the wine not so much. The location also didn’t have anything special but I loved their food and ice cream so maybe if I go back for another tasting, I might have a diffrent opinion about the wine but definatly not this time.
For food try the pulled pork sandwich and chicken salad and the crab cake.

We just returned from a great 2 night stay in the Guesthouse at Cass Winery. It's a nice, spacious and well maintained 3 bedroom home with all the amenities. The great part is that it's situated on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Cass vineyards from the front deck, which is a great place to sit and enjoy your coffee in the morning or just to sit and relax. In the rear of the house, there's a gas grill all ready to use, although we were too busy to use it this trip. Now, if you really want to have a nice view, you have to take a short walk to the top of a hill with a chair underneath a magnificent old oak tree for a truly panoramic view of the vineyards.

To get the full effect of a stay at the Cass Guesthouse, you have to visit the winery's tasting room, which is just at the bottom of the hill. It offers some of the finest wines to be had, not just in Paso Robles, but in California. And, to top it off, they're served by some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Every time we visit, it's like coming home.

Now, of course, you're going to work up an appetite doing all this wine tasting, so try the menu of foods prepared by Cass' chef. It's just a great place to hang out while enjoying all Paso Robles has to offer.

We visited this winery after sampling their wine at the OC Fair, it was so good we went in search of the winery. The people who work here are so friendly, and we had the opportunity to meet Ted and go on a tour and try his wines. He is the best and treated us like family even though he just met us. We will never forget him! We are now wine club members and love everything they send us. The best is their viognier (seriously the best we ever had!). Also highly recommend their restaurant...the food is so good. Such a treat to sit out on the patio, drink wine and eat some delicious food. Definitely recommend a stop here, it’s so welcoming and the wine is so good! Wish we lived closer so we could come more often!

We were stopping in Paso Robles on our way to Cambria and picked this winery because the brochure said they offered red and white wine and they had a picnic area. We packed a lunch and headed to Cass Winery, which is off the beaten path east of Paso Robles. The wine tasting was conducted at a very relaxed pace, the staff was very engaging and the wines were excellent. One of our friends joined their wine club, which is very reasonably priced and were purchased bottles of the Roussanne and Marsanne. All of their food served in their cafe is sourced from their property.

They have a wine tasting area, a restaurant , and a taco bar. You can wine taste in any of these. We sat in the taco bar are and enjoyed some nice Rhône varietals and food. A very pleasant lunch.
