Quaint and Fantastic! My hubby and I came across Penman Springs and stopped on a whim. Beautiful little spot, great service and incredible wine! When you come to Paso there is so much to choose from and often you are drawn to the “big boys” simply because they are paying more for marketing. If you want great wine and to support local Paso Wine Makers this is your spot!! Beth was so hospitable and provided great insight into the wine making and the history of their winery!

A friendly place to visit, with very nice wines. We have friends who are wine club members and were impressed with the pick up party. Highly recommended!

Should have known when we walked in the door that this place would be a blast. Tons of locals all hanging out eating great cheese and bread with oil. Wine pouring staff were so funny with at least 8 wines to try. The owner even blended two together on the spot for me to try. The 2009 Reserve Cab is the best I tasted all weekend. Such a fun, off the beaten path place.

Bright, comfort cottage. You will find ecstasy in the selections of majority reds here. Muscat Blanc is the only light one. But we're talking about true classics here in Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Meritage selections. $5 tasting fee waived if you buy a bottle. We bought the Muscat Blanc because, with its orange blossoms, I don't think I'll find another of this genre I'll like more. Dog's name is Cuteness; the grey cat's name is unknown. Best little knickknacks and cheese or chocolate grand marnier accompaniments (I've been savoring this little take-home jar for weeks now). Don't let this winery pass up your radar.

I've been visiting wineries for over 40 years and Penman Springs harkens back to the days of planks on barrels in the cellars. No glitz, no buzz just very good wines and nice people proud of their wines. Wine tasting like it used to be. Beth McCasland brightens the tasting room as no one else can and makes everyone welcome. Their reds are the rock they've built their reputation on and I feel they make the best Petite Sirah in Paso. A little out of the way but well worth the effort. We try to tour the Paso Robles the weekend before Christmas because the crowds are panicking in the Malls not in the wineries and Beth and Rosie always have a lot of "snacks" out.
A don't miss place.

This was a great winery with amazing staff and average wines but now the staff has changed and really it’s below average at best.

My first visit to Penman and what a nice surprise>
Larry who was our host, had a nice variety of tastings for us.
The wines were ranging from very good to excellent, something I did not expect.
Over the 14 years that I have traveled to the Paso Robles area, I have visited many smaller vineyards to find that one "undiscovered" gem, well I finally found it.

Nice tasting room experience and I would recommend this to everyone visiting the Paso area. Penman Springs is on the east side, so good to combine with Eberle, Bianchi and others on the East part ( don't forget Hunt , known for their excellent ports)

We stopped here for harvest weekend. These ladies are fun, pleasant, helpful and accommodating. They were serving some wonderful food and lovely tastes of wine. We sat outside and they actually kept track of us and our pours and brought them outside to us. All this for a reasonable price which is donated to an animal shelter. Great experience! We will definitely go back to taste and buy more wine when we return to Paso. Thanks for being one of the best tasting experiences we had that weekend!

Very Nice small winery to visit. The small winery made for a great stop as it was one on one with the pourers. We drank, we laughed, pet the dogs, and had our picnic on a perfect day. The wine was very good and affordable.
