Meghan, the sommelier, was fantastic. She spent time explaining the vineyard and the wines to us. Since I like reds, she tailored the tasting to my preference.

We were there on a Friday afternoon and just being able to sip wine on the back patio and relax was just wonderful.

I highly recommend

Visited on a free wine tasting coupon. Would have not strayed that far off the mail road had I not had these free tastings. Worth the rather short extra drive. Charming hostess, great wines and atmosphere in the tasting room. This winery is the perfect example of why you leave the main road!

We visited here because our fave restaurant back home has their private label wines blended and bottled here. Casey (sorry if I spelled it wrong) the tasting hostess was awesome! Knowledgeable, warm, and fun, so we hope Rich (the owner/winemaker) appreciates her. We enjoyed all the wines, but the Full Moon Red would definitely be our house red if Indiana didn’t have such archaic laws about shipping wine. We are trying to figure out a way to bypass the system though. Take a little trip off the beaten path to try their wines - you won’t be sorry!

First thing that I enjoyed, the cat, Chardonnay, greeting us at the door! I bought a bottle of Full Moon, which was my favorite! Beautiful labels, too!

We have been going to this winery for three years now and each visit gets better. Staff is awesome and the winemaker is so fun. You can tell he truly loves what he does and has a ball doing it. We will be going back this fall during the harvest festival to enjoy their evening party. So looking forward to the next visit

My hub & I have been visiting Paso Robles since 1998, yet somehow we had never visited this winery until our Dec. 2012 trip. Wow! This is old Paso at its best: it is one of the earliest established wineries, with fantastic wines at all price points. The staff is friendly, unpretentious and very hospitable.

We were steered here by another winery, and were so glad they did! Although it is just off the 46 west, there is no signage on the highway. You need to look for Dark Star to find the road it is on (Anderson). It is right next door.

We tasted a fine array of wines, and they even let us bring our friendly dog into the tasting room. The rosé was one of the best we have tasted, and a bargain at $11/bottle. We couldn't resist joining their wine club. Club members are rewarded handsomely once/year with a fab 40% discount on cases. Loved their blends especially.

Add this winery to your must-visit list!

We stopped by for a tasting and the wine and service here is excellent. All of their estate wine is top notch. We visited several other wineries nearby and this was far and away our favorite!

This was the first winery we visited years ago on our first trip to Paso and we joined their wine club immediately. We have never been disappointed with their wines and on each return trip to Paso we always stop in. Our personal faves are the syrah, cab nebula, and the estate zin. The full moon red is an excellent table wine and we stock up on this well!

A short drive from Paso Robles, this is an excellent winery to visit. Venue is very nice and the wines are excellent (25% military discount is cool, too). Service folks were friendly and knowledgeable.

Recommendation: Worth a Visit! Wine is very good. They have a super Tuscan, Capriccio Italien that is great. Their other red blends are really good as well. I just went here this past weekend and it was my second time visiting. It was two couples and 2 dogs. Very dog friendly even though they have a cat wondering around. They have a great backyard outdoor area for the dogs to run around. They also have tables and chairs in the back. Small parking lot for visitors, so if it is busy, finding a spot may be tricky. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My only gripe is that it is a bit pricey, but I've bought a few bottles, so it may be worth it depending on your budget. $30-$50
