As we traveled the road we stopped at another winery that not only offered tasting and a great gift shop, but they provided bottled water and sold vine plants just outside the door. They had plenty of space for picnic tables, provided excellent wines, and educated us on their French style of production. Informative, relaxing, and beautiful.

I am in the wine industry and am always looking for outstanding wineries and wines. Tablas Creek tops my list in Paso Robles. I look for two things in a winery - very good wines and excellent tasting room staff. Every wine is well balanced and worthy of drinking; many are outstanding. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. If you... More

Did we have the best sommelier, we may have done so maybe this is why our experience was so good. Justin (I hope I have his name right), was so knowledgable and passionate and so calm. I urge anyone to visit this vineyard. I know that it has won many awards and yes they are justifiably proud of this but... More

The area is lovely and you can sit and relax in the courtyard. Wines are very good, ask for Evelyne who is lovely, very knowledgeable and French (!).

Loved this winery! These Rhone varietal wines are refreshingly more old-world in style-- earthier and less fruit forward. The location is beautiful and the patio was perfect for a picnic with friends.

We were hosted by Gustavo, the Chilean, that almost speaks with a French accent. The wines of Tablas are up-market and of extreme quality. Perhaps mirror imaging Chateau Beaucastel, but still keeping their own identity in that the Mouvedre component is higher. The tasting room is impressive, and once again you are addressed at your level. Showing wine-knowledge, they took... More

This winery has a lot to offer, not only in the wines themselves which were quite delicious but their unique wine making process is fascinating and much needed here. I was very impressed. It doesn't hurt to have all those French accents around. I almost forgot I was in California!!

We visited Tablas as we drove through the country surrounding Paso Robles. Very unique Rhone style wines with more European style than Napa style. The association with Chateau de Beaucastel has also influenced their grape selection. Very friendly staff and helpful wine pairings. Highly recommended for a stop.

We enjoyed this stop on our tour somewhat off the beaten path. We would not have found it if we had not been on a tour with a driver. Staff was so helpful and interesting. The wines were great and we did not have to pay a tasting fee as we purchased several bottles to take home.

We had known about Tablas Creek, but never stopped at the tasting room. Will never make that mistake again. This is a must on your wine adventure thru Paso Robles. They make absolutely spectacular Rhone blends. Whites and reds are equally fantastic. Don't miss this experience.
