The Gleason family has been nothing but nice to me, wonderful wines, wonderful experiences. My personal favorite is their Picpoul Blanc which is not heavily populated in the area. If you want a gracious small family owned winery who are blessed with talent and intellect come here.

We came by without an appt. It seems a lot of the wineries are stuck with this model. When we arrived no one was serving any customers. There was a female employee eating and when we arrived I let her know we didn't have an appt. She said she'd check to see if they had any one available to serve us. We had to sit at a table outside. We were still the only ones there. They finally assigned us a server. Right away we noticed the wines were expensive. We were served mostly red wines and the Petite Syrah (I believe) was my favorite. They also had a high tasting fee which you had to buy 2 or 3 bottles to get one tasting fee waived. It really wasn't a good deal but we finished the tasting and bought 3 bottles. I didn't see how they made money but maybe it's me. Either way I'm going to pass next time I'm in this area.

A very friendly family-run winery, making excellent Rhone-style wines, perfect for a warm day sitting in the shaded of the trees. The owners are very friendly as is their dog, apparently, they do have live music but we were not fortunate enough to hear any. They also serve a very memorable Cabernet Franc, but all the wines we tasted were very good, and we look forward to returning with friends.
TIP: Amazing place to bring your children, plenty of space for them to explore.

Four Lanterns was my third stop on a wine tasting weekend, and my favorite. Visiting on a Monday allowed us an intimate experience. Steve brought us a pour of the juice before it had fermented. Jackie answered our many questions with the warmth of an old friend. Even Brix, their dog, enjoyed playing with our dog on the lawn. I am not a rose person, but I truly enjoyed their sparking light pink made from Pinot Noir using the methode champenoise technique. Thanks for the great memories, Jackie and Steve!

Warm, welcoming, wonderful! We were celebrating our son’s birthday and had a few wineries lined up for the day. This was our first, and best tasting experience! Very knowledgeable, owners are down to earth and grow excellent varieties. Kid friendly, dog friendly, they have a lovely golden retriever that will lay his head on your lap. Very recommended.

Enjoyed the location, atmosphere, people, wines and winery dog - Brix, the Golden Retriever. Prices are competitive, although like most places in Paso area not inexpensive. Nice grounds for outdoor seating and tasting. Pet friendly - a must. Interesting collection of wines. We got lucky on our visit as there was live music too! Worth a visit. Oh and the owner was there and made a point of coming around to every table to chat. A nice personal touch.

Beautiful place to sit under the trees and taste.
Molly was our awesome wine guide and we had a great chat with owner/ winemaker Steve while petting Brix, the golden.
Most important: excellent wine! So excellent that we joined the wine club.
We also reserved an overnight space through Harvest Host and parked our van out back overnight. Just us and a great horned owl.
Highly recommend. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Excellent Rhone style wines, very friendly family run winery. All of their wines are very good, a couple of outstanding wines for us were their Viognier and their Syrah is a standout. Their wines are generally reasonable price points, the Syrah a bit up there but considering the quality. Worth it. We will return.. multiple times!

I was heading for Kenneth Volk's tasting room and pulled into the parking area to see a large sign for Four Lanterns Winery on the building. As I walked to the entrance, I noticed a small sign pointing around the corner of the building to Kenneth Volk's tasting room. I stopped into Four Lanterns tasting room, and I am glad I did. They offered a rose, 2 whites and 3 reds for $10.00. I started with their Grenache/Syrah blend, since I rarely drink white wine. As I was chatting with the tasting host, the husband/wife owners arrived. They’ve owned it for just a couple of years, with estate fruit just outside the door. We got to chatting. I learned from the tasting associate that the Picpoul Blanc is a varietal usually used as a blending wine, and that Four Lanterns is the only winery bottling it separately. Well, I had to try it, and ended up trying the rose and the Viognier, as well. All excellent. I chatted for a while with the owners, the tasting room host, and another couple as we tasted. Very pleasant time. Oh yeah, they also serve seasoned pistachios in the shell instead of the usual water crackers or bread sticks. Way tasty, way cool.
