This was our first experience here and even thought the weather was horrible, the staff and course more than compensated. First, we were originally booked on the Spy Glass course but due to the weather the course was closed. The Pebble Beach staff were so accommodating in booking us on this course the next day. Everyone was friendly and helpful in pro shop and restaurant. The tee person was extremely friendly. But there was no comparison to the amazing caddy Rich that my husband and son had. He really went out of his way to make their experience fantastic. We look forward to coming back and actually staying for a few days and playing multiple times based upon the amazing location and the very friendly staff.

Hard to believe this course is affiliated with Pebble Beach. They obviously doing whatever they can to recovery from the shutdown. I felt like I was at scrub muni course. Anything go’s, caddies that looked drugged out homeless, no dress code, no pace of play etiquette or any kind of etiquette for that matter players or staff. We had a dude in the group in front of us step off to a hill right of the tee box blatantly relieve himself in front of my 12 year old daughter, myself, his caddie and the entire hotel and course! When I addressed the issue to marshal Charlie the ChoMo he couldn’t be bothered. Conditions were goat track quality. Price outrageous with no kind of junior rate. This is my 4th and last round here. It has really gone downhill

Flew in from Washington, DC on 3/10/23 to play this course for the first time the following day and loved it! I was paired with a great group, and our caddie, Don, was awesome.
Playing conditions were what you’d expect with breezes coming off the ocean as you make your way around the course. Sometimes it’s behind you, in front of you, or coming across you. In the last two wind scenarios, don’t be afraid to club up, especially on the Par 3 13th. The fairways were in excellent condition, and the greens were tough, but fair. Speed of the greens was consistent on all holes.
All in all, if you’re looking for a beautiful course with excellent views NOT named Pebble Beach, you won’t go wrong playing Spanish Bay.
Oh, and if you play later in the day, listen out for the bagpiper starting on hole 16.

Nice links course in great condition along the water on a few holes. Enjoyed the round and recommend caddie Crawford, knowledgeable and dry humor kept us entertained.
I do recommend this magical place to play and visit.

This equals Pebble in many ways. Yes there are no major tournaments here, but the scenery is almost as spectacular. The course is very playable, although there are some challenging carries. 90 degree cart rule is great for a decent pace of play and duration of the round. No practice facility, but conditions here are better than Pebble and Spyglass. Pricing is also better than Pebble and Spyglass, this is my favourite overall.

From moment we where greeted at the curb until end of our round what exceptional service.
Checking in at the pro shop and we mentioned from out of town and he asked us about by name about courses in area. Explained how Mike would greet us at the first hole and where to warm up.
After a quick warm up we met Mike at hole 1. What a character. He took some great pictures of us, thanks Mike!
Can't say enough about the course. Every hole a different challenge, maintained fantastic, the green went every which way. Almost every hole on the beach. Lots of deer, rabbits and even saw a few foxes.
The round of a lifetime.
Only bummer was no bagpiper and we where last guaranteed group to finish.

This is the most beautiful golf course I have ever played. The views of the sea were just stunning, the course was in perfect shape, nicely built into the landscape. Not too many houses around the course. The service cart could have been a bit more active. The marshal kept the groups going in time.
The clubhouse was nice, with swimming pools and other extras.
Carts were included in the fee.
There is no driving range, so you need to warm up somewhere else. Large chip and putt area.

We were lucky to have a sunny wind free day to play this course. We didn’t have a caddy course would have been useful to have a caddy as many holes you needed to place the ball off the tee box. Drivers were not always the choice. Gorgeous ocean outlooks from most holes and the course was fair. Thoroughly enjoy this course and will play it again.

Heaven on turf. Pebble Beach may be the most famous and has some spectacular holes, but Spanish Bay has 15 holes along the Pacific Ocean, a marvelous layout, is less expensive and easier to book. It's my favorite course on the Monterey Peninsula, and my favorite in the world. Magnificent.

Between pebble beach, spyglass and Spanish bay. Spanish bay was the course I would not want to play again. Hard greens that did not hold, tricky short tee shots but pretty scenery are the summation of the course. I would not spend the money to play here again.

Hello. The Links at Spanish Bay course is the only course where you can take the golf carts on the fairways. It is, however, only at 90 degrees. Hope this helps.
