We found this place by accident and it was a great fine by accident, happy we did. They have the best view in Amador Wine Country and their wines are great as well. We got to taste all of their wines, not in one visit but several visits. You will feel as your in a different state, it takes your mind of your stressful week. We love going to Iron Hub Winery because of the wine, view, and staff. If your on a wine tour make sure you add Iron Hub Winery to your list and make it your last stop. As they say, "save the best for last".

The grounds are stunning, and we truly enjoyed our experience overall, except for the lack of attention by one of the tasting room attendants. It was St Patrick’s Day so it was very packed. We started with one gal who was attentive at first and then more or less ditched us. The owner’s son caught on after we stood there awkwardly with empty glasses and then continued to pour. I love the tasting room, and the Chardonnay is exceptional. I’ll return to give it another shot but still has a little coaching for the overall experience and to flip a visitor into a member.

Definite appealing to wine lovers, awesome view, relaxing atmosphere indoor and out, the wines red and white are so worth the visit up there and staff (Beth) very polite, and accommodating, best cheeses!!! So glad I joined.

Amador County is one of the best places in CA to go wine tasting with its beautiful rolling hills and wealth of good vineyards. The newest on our "check off' list is Iron Hub Winery. It is relatively new, opening just 4 years ago, but owners Beth and husband wine maker Tom really have done it well. The tasting room is really nice, overlooking a gorgeous hillside of vines and flowers. The pour staff (including Beth) was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Oh yeah, the wine is pretty good too.

This is our third year visiting the Amador County wineries so we have quite a few under our belts and have yet to be disappointed. This trip we visited Deaver, Wilderotter, Runquist, and Iron Hub. We stayed in Jackson at the National Hotel on this trip (also enjoy the Sutter Hotel in Sutter Creek). Enroute to the wineries, we stopped at Andrae's Bakery in Amador City for sandwiches. We had planned Iron Hub for the last stop and picnic and it was the perfect decision. Our hostess was Melinda and she was great. We bought a Sauvignon Blanc ($22) for lunch and their Old Zin ($28) to take home. Their tasting room is spectacular with a long bar and huge windows overlooking the gorgeous view. Their back patio is gorgeous and perfect for a picnic.
