If you like good wine then you’ll love Runquist Wines. For a special treat try my favorite the Runquist Estate Barbera, it’s a winner. The staff working there are top flight also, so, if you’re in the Plymouth area do yourself a favor and stop by Runquist and see if you can meet Jeff and Margie

I have been a member of their wine club for years. They have always made tasty wine, this year has been exceptional, they won the winery of the year award from the California State Fair and their Sangiovese won Best of Show red at the Calaveras County Fair. The wines are made to be drunk right away, they are skilled at managing tannins. They have a section of the tasting room reserved for wine club members, that was closed for a special event when we visited, as a result the main tasting room was mobbed. The efficient staff made it work, we were at a round table away from the bar, they poured many different wines, even brought us cheese to enjoy with it. Staff are knowledgeable about their wines. Highly recommended.

We often visit this winery, as we have been wine club members for many years. There are always several favorite bottles of award winning wines that we just can't resist. A couple of weeks ago we rented their "R House" for a weekend stay. We celebrated my parents birthdays with family and friends. The house was fantastic. We cooked gourmet meals, floated in the saltwater pool, and played games by the fire-pit at night. There are several patio/decks to enjoy the sunrise, sunset etc. while sipping on their wine. During the afternoon we walked through the vineyard to get more wine -- what a wonderful experience!

This was the last stop of our wine tasting and the wines were pretty good. Winery itself is nice but I really liked the selection of wines offered from whites to red's to ports etc. Will def return.

Dog lover’s review: Set in a modern rustic building right off the main road. Parking is plentiful and easy. The wine is pretty good and you get quite a few tastings of both whites and reds for free with a small cheese and bread plate included. It was definitely worth the stop. We bought their Cabernet Franc for $26. The place was very dog friendly, even to our pitbull. There were three other dogs there while we were tasting and all were welcome. The place was very popular and crowded. However, they managed the pouring pace very well.
