Our 4th year visiting Amador County wineries (en route from a South Lake Tahoe stay and home to Monterey Bay area). We love staying at the Sutter Creek Hotel. We visited 4 wineries on Shenandoah Road this day. Young's was the first. Beautiful setting. Would be great for a picnic. Our hostess was great. We bought a Zinfandel for $29 and the reasonable $5 tasting fee was waived with a bottle purchased. Other wineries visited: Borjon, Amador Cellars, Scott Harvey.…

This Vineyard/winery was by far the most beautiful and friendly and accommodating I’ve ever been to . The views are amazing and on comparable to anything I’ve seen. . Being able to sit in the vineyard and sip wine relax take your own picnic whatever you want is just so amazing I highly highly highly recommend this place .…

The winery is a State of the art at best Napa style. Their wines are very nicely develop and aged. They have a excellent bistro where you can enjoy sipping wine and savoring beatifull cheeses

This winery has a beautiful setting on Shenandoah Road just outside of Plymouth. I did something I have never done before. I walked out on a tasting (I did pay the fee) not because of bad wine or slow service but because of very small tasting pours. So small I could not actually get a taste of the wine. Were they trying to save money? Well they lost because I was looking for some good reds to purchase. In the future before I agree to pay for a tasting I am going to try to find out how much of a pour is considered a taste.…
