We had a morning reservation and sadly we had the entire winery to ourselves. We loved this but it always makes me worry with all the Covid going on if these wonderful off the beaten path wineries will continue to survive. We each had different tastings and loved the MV Chardonnay and the SHR Zin. But I fell in love with the Ghost Pepper Jardines Salsa and the Marinade. Staff were wonderful and the house cats were very friendly.

This fabulous winery reopened last week, by reservation only amid covid 19, and did it right! All employees in masks, guests in masks except when tasting. Plexiglass shields, a new glass used for each and every taste. Only four tasters allowed inside at a given hour. Outside, under the spacious covered patio, black table clothes were laid before outdoor tasting or picnicking began. The staff was superb as always. Thank you Stacy, Irene, Riley, and Lindsay for making our day at Terra d’ Oro a memorable during this pandemic.

Five tastes for $10.00 for their Italian style wines. I liked them all, but back home my wine cooler is full, storage has become a problem. I have already purchased more than I should have on this mini trip and am hoping we can manage to drink a couple of recent purchases over the Thanksgiving Holidays. Great gifts in their shop, 15 years ago I was given a wine themed shirt, purchased here, that I continue to receive compliments on. I usually only wear it to wine tastings or to themed events. Our host had just yesterday spent 3 days at Disneyland and returned at 3 AM. It was a Grandmother, Mother, and Daughter trip.

Good wines and Friendly people. Hard to say more. The grounds are great and nothing better than sharing a bottle of wine with friend and family.

Headed "over the hill" from Reno for our spring visit to Amador County to pick up our wines. 1st stop our favorite Terr d' Oro. Wine, staff and experience is the best. Love this place. We have visited many wineries in the area and this place provides great wine and a decent price. Give it a shot you'll be glad you did.
