We also visited Sera Fina with a Groupon. What a deal! And, we were pleasantly surprised that we liked most of the 8 wines on the Groupon tasting list. Ciders are also offered. The bar area was crowded with a large group but we were comfortably seated away from the crowd. The staff person who greeted us was so friendly and attentive as was our server, John. The tasting room is large and open with views of the fields. Food is available for purchase and with the Groupon you get a complimentary bottle of wine to take with you.

We visited Sera Fina this past weekend via Group on. This was the second time in the past 6 months we have been there. The deal was excellent. There is a good selection of wine at a variety of prices. The server, I believe her name was Lisa, was very friendly and receptive to our requests. As the tasting of 8 samples was ending she knew our tastes. She then offered other selections (at no charge) that she thought we'd like. Sera Fina also has a variety of ciders. Tastings of these were tried and loved. Needless to say, we took advantage of the quantity discount and left with a case of wine and lots of cider. I have seen prior reviews of Sera Fina and noted poor wines and musty smells of the tasting room specifically. With such a variety of wines, some our naturally better than others based on your tastes. As far as the smell, I haven't noticed this during our time here during Summer and Winter. Remember that the town and buildings are 100-150 yrs old. Overall, Sera Fina should be included during your tour of tasting rooms in Sutter Creek. Great job Sera Fina! I'm looking forward to receiving my Wine Club selections.

We never would have visited this place without a Groupon. It is pretty far off the beaten path. The tasting room itself is massive and very nice and has some great views. The Groupon we had was for 8 tastings and a bottle of wine. We normally don't drink a lot of white wines, but a couple of theirs were actually pretty decent. We really didn't care for most of their reds, although we did leave with one bottle as part of our Groupon. Some of their ciders were actually pretty good and the guy that was pouring gave us several extra tastes of those. I suppose if you like white wines and/or ciders, this would be a good stop. But they only had 3 reds to taste, and of those there was really only 1 that we liked at all.

This tasting room of the winery is an old house located on the main street in Sutter Creek. it has that old home smell so having the front door open let in some much needed fresh air. The flights are reasonably priced and Lisa, our pourer was friendly. I would recommend visiting the winery for other local wineries for the views rather than the store front location.
