It was a wonderful visit to see the Old Poway Village. The place is beautifully maintained and well manicured. The old world charm is vibrant. Colorful houses and old word shops. The old rail road is still open for rail enthusiasts along with the old station. You can book tickets for the toy train ride at the old ticket booth.

My grandson loves the train. Old Poway Park is a nice, peaceful place to spend time with the family.

This park captures both the beauty and the peace of Poway California, "The City in the Country." With farmers' markets every Saturday, the museum and train rides every weekend, and band concerts in the gazebo many weekends the park is a major draw for casual family outings. The beautiful park area with barbecues under almost every tree means dozens of... More

We went on the third saturday in september as it appeared more things were happening then. The vintage train ride on the Poway-Midland Railroad was a trip on a converted San Francisco cable car. The short ride (approx 5 mins) is on a half-mile circular 2-lap route around the park. Train tickets are purchased inside the Depot Store (historical railroad... More

I feel very fortunate to live in Poway. The Old Poway Park is like a step back in time to simple pleasures and great wonderment. A friend came to visit from Utah with her 3 kids. We did all the major tour and theme parks daily for almost 2 weeks. The highlight honestly was this park. The reason apparently was... More

We visited there this morning with our daughter and granddaughter. Saturday morning is farmer's market, and the street on Midland is cordoned off so that local farmers can sell vegetables, local delicacies and flowers. We picked up guacamole and chips and had beautifully prepared crepes. We also rode the train around the park for a nominal fee. All the little... More

I was only at this park one time for a memorial service, but it is very nice and scenic. I did not visit the restaurant or visit the train, but would like to go back to eat , as I have heard the food is really good.

Old Poway Park is a great venue for family parties and picnics. It has a large bandstand that may have a folk/bluegrass/country concert. The Templar's Hall has many activities, recitals. On weekends, the Poway-Midland vintage railroad makes loops around the park with lots of seating for adults and children. A Farmers Market is held each Saturday with produce from local... More

Weddings, birthdays or just a family day this is a good choice. A vintage train runs on weekends, missive riding it. Beautiful trees and a great restaurant nearby. Definitely a family favorite
