We hiked up from the Visitor Centre at the lake, it was a pretty strenuous hike, with some steep pulls, but some great views on the way up. It was pretty hot, but the clear blue skies made for great photos. We didnt have to...More

I've wanted to hike up to this rock the last 3 times I was in San Diego, but never had time to squeeze it into my itinerary, but I finally did this last time around, and boy I'm glad I did! Not gonna lie, this...More

On an early Saturday morning before sunrise, finally started the hike with a couple of colleagues after so many trips to San Diego. Went for the shorter route via Ramona and parked the car along road 67. already many cars were there before 5:30am and...More

We loved it :) we parked at the street, to "hike" there was not too difficult and took maybe 30 to 40 mins. Not so sure about that. When we were there not too many people wanted to take their pictures. Take water with you....More

Get there early just before sunrise and it's your best bet for less people and great photos. We had a beautiful view and there were too many people. We went 30 minutes before sunrise and we're surprised people were already there! Wouldn't go any later...More

Challenging hike. We left early, so shady and not too hot going up. Nice crowd at top. Very hot and sunny coming down. Bring lots of water. Quite sore later, but worth it overall. Nice views.

This is a great hiking for families with kids. You can choose to take a easy/short route or a more challenging route like we did. We did it in July so it was very hot so remember to bring a lot of water.( you’ll need...More

Loved this hike but it was tough. We parked along hwy 67 and took the paved path up. This way is a lot steeper but shorter and paved, which I thought was better for my 5 year old and four month old puppy. We stopped...More

This is a great hike and it’s been on my bucket list for quite some time. It’s 8 miles (if you start from the Lake Poway Recreation Center), but that being said, it’s pretty tough. I thought most people were exaggerating, but they weren’t. Definitely...More

This is a unique rock formation at the top of Mt. Woodson. There are two ways to hike up there. One from route 67 is a paved road and easier while the trail from Lake Poway is difficult but gives you beautiful panoramic views of...More

Only the pavement trail on the Mt. Wilson entrance. It's still going uphill but it's good for stroller.

Personally, I wouldn’t. Cell service for us was spotty once we started to hike up the hills and nonexistent once we were near the rock formation. Also, it’s basically a path off of a main road, you park along the main road... More
