Great Golf

Mt. Woodson is a beautiful country setting golf course. It is in great shape. While on the short side, it is very challenging.

Been playing this course twice a week since moving overlooking the 3rd green 12 years ago and it never gets boring. New owner has invested passion and resources into improvements in 2016 and is in the best condition in over a decade. Riding over the high, long, and winding wooden bridge from the 2nd green to the 3rd tee box... More

I had heard really good things about this course and couldn't wait to play. It turned out even better than I expected! The course is in excellent shape, and technically very challenging (I lost 4-5 balls here, but none on a recent outing at Torrey Pines) but still a lot of fun. Lots of beautiful views and elevation changes, plus... More

New owners have taken over and made many improvements. The course looks great. I played there today. If you haven't played this course, you owe it to yourself to do so. The course is short but tight and technical. If you slice or hook a lot, bring many golf balls, as the chaparral will gobble up your supply. There is... More

Shorter par 70 but don't let the distance fool you. Played from the blue's and very little room for error as there is very little rough on this course. Off the fairway and you may find yourself down a hill and in rattlesnake country. You could walk this course but I wouldn't advise it as there are some significant distances... More

Wile visiting Ramona, I played the Mt. Woodson Golf Course, located just West of town and enjoyed the experience. Situated adjacent to the gated country club community, it has a small temporary clubhouse, but a new permanent facility looks like it is just about ready to open and it will be a great improvement. The course is very hilly and... More

Have played this course quite a few times and enjoyed the challenge and the unique feel. Yesterday was a great disappointment to say the least. The clubhouse has been demolished, you check in a shed and it's a free for all at the first tee. Basically the course has become 18 "greens" in the middle of a rocky barren landscape.... More

I am a beginner at golf. My husband took me here for my first game.. An absolutely beautiful course set in the mountains and very challenging but not impossible.. We played at 3.30 so not crowded. If your in the area and like golf try this one out.

If you are ever in the San Diego area for golf you have to play this course. It is a desert mountain course, with an amazing layout, and a lot of elevation changes. I played the back tees and even though it is a short course it is not an easy one from the back tees, especially the upper par... More

I love this course. it is unique in that way it winds through the hills of Ramona in and around large oak trees. It is not a long course, but it demands accuracy. The fees are more than reasonable. There are multiple ponds on the course. The staff keeps everything in tip top shape.
