Gorgeous river right through Redding. Water is beautiful. Raft down the river by rental companies, great for kayaking, standup paddling, fishing, and dinner cruises.

It is a lovely, moving river, with many people on it enjoying the ride. This area is full of fauna and flora too. The Turtle Bay Bridge offers the best opportunity to view it from above. Witnessing many on the river enjoying the recreation of...More

It is a beautiful river from our campground and this picture is a small sample. Didn't get a chance to fish but observed others. Also observed boats and canoes and rubber rafts and others floating by peacefully during the day. This is a really nice...More

Great views of this river, which originates up around the Mount Shasta area and flows into San Francisco Bay, are afforded via numerous bridges in Redding. The coloring of the river reminds me of the River Inn in Austria. There are ample places for fishing,...More

AC is on of the most knowledgeable and friendly guides in Redding. He goes that extra mile to make sure your trip is enjoyable. If it wasn't for Anthony, my wife Susi, wouldn't have taken up fly fishing.

This river has two different looks. The first is the undimmed portion from Mt. Shasta toShasta Lake. It winds through undeveloped canyons, and is a favorite for fly fisherman. After the river leaves Lake Shasta, it is less wild, but still rapid. Perfect for rafting, kayaking and fishing....More

So it is a river, and one can view it from several bridges in Redding. However, for a quiet appreciation and a beautiful view, one might visit the Sundial bridge and view the river thence. Occasional boats and fishermen, vistas of mountains against the setting...More

Do not come without your camera or you will be sorry! Its a big river, not like the trickles in AZ or EU. This is a big, clean river full of fish and surrounded by mountains and wild-life

We were along the river from the Sundial Bridge up river along the River trail and so some fishermen pulling out some nice sized fish. Made me want to go fishing. Nice stroll along the river trail which was not too strenuous.
