Beautiful, hard to access via 299 right now with a lot of repair work going on, due to the Carr fire.

I used to live in the Redding area. We used to visit the lake quite frequently. It was a beautiful place to spend a day if you enjoy the outdoors, swimming, canoeing, water sports, picnic. There is a tourist information centre there to help you.

It was a beautiful lake, a wonderful escape for locals. The Carr Fire has destroyed it for years to come.

This lake is a beautiful place to spend a relaxing trip. Great for kayaking, stand up boards and small motor boats. No high power seed boats here. Fishing and wildlife is good too.

Kayaking on whiskeytown is pure joy. Take advantage of guided tours courtesy of NPS. What a great way to show visitors a local jewel.

I believe it’s $8 or you can buy a pass for $40 and that includes Lassen Volcanic Park and it’s good for a year from the date of purchase.
