This is a great little museum in the desert. It is well worth the time to go for both the Native American & petroglyph displays as well as the early mining history displays.

Although more souvenirs than exhibits, the exhibits are interesting, the souvenirs tasteful, the publications and information abundant, and the employees and docents extremely friendly and helpful.

The Maturango Museum is a great place to learn about local desert history and lore. Inside the museum you'll find a children's area, revolving local art exhibits, and exhibits depicting natural history. There is a small admission fee, if you are not a museum member.
