This is a beautiful park in the Central Valley. There are picnic areas in groves of trees, allowing for shade. There are several access points to the banks of the Stanislaus River. It's a great place to go walking or just hang out.

My daughter loves to walk by the river & caswell has some nice spots for a day out. I've never camped there as we are local & I'd feel silly sleeping in a tent with my house & flushing toilet 2 miles away.
