This is a beautiful park in the Central Valley. There are picnic areas in groves of trees, allowing for shade. There are several access points to the banks of the Stanislaus River. It's a great place to go walking or just hang out.

I hiked the beautiful trails here and encountered no one. The riparian area is gorgeous and a blessed relief from the hot and fairly treeless (except for almond orchards) surrounding areas. But the trail is short-took me less than 45 minutes. The river os very...More

Went here to check it out since it is local and to get the kids out of the house on a hot summer day. First of all it costs I think it was $10 to get in, but there really isn't anything to do there....More

We had quite a good experience of camping in caswell memorial state park. Its a good camping place where you can get a camping site of your choice. There are almost 60 (i guess) sites in which you can chose your favourite one. Sites are...More

There is some camping and swimming available, but that is about it. Mosquitoes can be bad certain times of the year.

My daughter loves to walk by the river & caswell has some nice spots for a day out. I've never camped there as we are local & I'd feel silly sleeping in a tent with my house & flushing toilet 2 miles away.

We went here a few years ago to see what it was like. We were disappointed. We pictured rolling lawns, park benches, picnic benches, shade trees, easy access to the water, fishing, etc. We found dry grasses, not a lot of shade at all, predominantly...More

I enjoyed the walk until it rained. But please update the cost of $10 which is too much for a little hike and use of bathroom. There are no maps of park or trails which should be available.

You can make them online through the government website. Just search for the parks name and click in the link that ends in gov
