Grgich Hills Estate is an iconic Napa Valley winery, consistently producing world-class wines. Vintner Hall of Fame inductee Miljenko "Mike" Grgich first earned world-wide recognition when the Chardonnay he crafted won the 1976 Paris Tasting, beating the best of France. Mike then partnered with Austin Hills to open their family-owned-and-operated winery in 1977. Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, we farm our five estate vineyards without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, rely on wild yeast fermentation and use our passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines.

Two of my girlfriends and I are traveling to Napa the weekend of September 15 for an extended girls' weekend and to celebrate our 35th birthdays. Grgich Hills Estate is the first stop on our list after we get picked up by our driver at 10AM on September 16. If we arrive that Saturday morning by 10:30AM, how much time do you suggest we allow if we intend to take part in the grape stomping?

We stayed there a little over an hour. Tasting the wines and learning of Mike Grgich history in Bottle Shock ( beating all French wines in blind taste test 20+ years ago !) Hope you enjoy!

Sorry but we are not allowed to sell food as part of our permit. We do offer wine and cheese pairings as part of an educational seminar. Call us at the winery @707-963-2784 for more details.
