When Tony and Herta "H.B." Peju relocated to Rutherford from Los Angeles 32 years ago, they brought with them a vision of building a winery, an unwavering work ethic, and two young daughters who soaked in the couple's entrepreneurial spirit and love for Napa's beautiful farmland. They established Peju Province Winery and dedicated themselves to welcoming guests and to crafting exceptional wines from their organically farmed estate vineyard. Still family owned and operated today, Peju Province Winery has transformed over the past 32 years from a simple grape growing venture into a landmark winery celebrated for elegant, complex, and balanced wines in the classic Bordeaux varieties.

We stopped in here late in the afternoon, they are open till 6 which is nice. The grounds are beautiful, the winery and tasting room are really pretty with. Brazilian stone floors and bars. The server we had was very knowledgeable and handled 3 groups at once. None of us felt ignored. We bought a bottle of the dessert wine... More

First time visiting Peju. The place is gorgeous. The grounds are unbelievable, the sculptures on the gardens are a nice touch. The building itself and the art inside are so interesting. And the wines! Great portfolio. We really love the wines. Great quality. And the fun fun Province! I can't wait to have it! And the Cab Franc! The loot... More

Peju is absolutely beautiful and has some great wines. It was my wife's favorite Sauvignon Blanc of the trip. We purchased a bottle but realized after they left that we received their Chardonnay instead of the Sauvignon Blanc. It is a nice wine but not what we wanted. Great place and we would have rated them higher if it weren't... More

This was our second tasting of the afternoon. Our server was friendly and steered us toward wines that each of us would like. He also allowed my wife to taste a few that were not on the list so that she could try ones more to her liking. The cost was $35 each which included 2 mandatory wines and three... More

On three previous trips to Napa, I had never thought of stopping here because somehow I had gotten a mistaken impression that it was very expensive and snooty. It IS on several lists as one of the most beautiful wineries, so we decided to stop in without a reservation, and we were pleasantly surprised with a wonderful tasting experience of... More

scheduled appointment for three on a Sunday. Were hosted in a second floor bar area, called the barrel room. Good spot, near the family photo/history gallery, with wall maps and info of the estates vineyard properties. Pleasant and knowledgable host worked with a total os six for tasting, we shared wines and opinions for aobut 1.5 hours. Tried many of... More

My husband a I visited this winery as a last minute change because no reservations were needed. Wines were lovely and we had a great expereince in the tasting room. The winery has a lovely shop with some beautiful pewter and glass items for the home. We left with wine and a fabulous vase.

Pretty grounds here. Pretty tasting room. The wines are enjoyable with a rare blend, the Provence, you don't get anywhere.

My husband and I really enjoyed the wines at Peju and bought some to take home with us. What wasn't great about our experience were the other people around us. The staff member who poured our tasting made a couple of political comments - which I just find in such poor taste - and the other guests were an extremely... More
