We really enjoyed walking around historical Old Sacramento. The story of how this town battled floods and fires is astounding. Evidence of how they raised the city is easily seen by the alleyways that dip below the street level. We took the Underground Tour which...More

Really love this Old Town setting and all the shops and restaurants involved. Lot of railroad stuff around here. Parking is pretty cheap and easy in the multiple garages. Very friendly people throughout love the Ambiance of the town.

Old Town Sacramento, what fun! A cool place to glimpse back into history. I could envision the horses & wagons on the streets, the towns people walking on the wooden sidewalks - dresses sweeping the ground, the trains being loaded & boarded - steam hissing...More

Trinket shops, t-shirts, hotdogs, ice cream, tattoos, a few bars, restaurants, a Wells Fargo museum. Also people panhandling. There are places you can go under the street to another area but even in the day we weren't willing to do it. We are over 40...More

We really liked the shopping here. It is a fun place to visit. There is a ship that doubles as a hotel and restaurant that looked fun to think about staying at.

Fun place to visit for a day, hhas good restaurants and bars, a candy shop, and historical items. Even the buildings appear old. Right along the river, and a major highway.

Quirky place, it is good as a couple hour stop-off but wouldn’t suggest it as a main destination visit. The buildings are great in a turn of the century mid-west style and very photogenic, and the shops are quirky but mainly full of sweets and...More

My wife and I drove down, she is not a big shopper, so we did not stay long. It was fun to walk around and look at all the old buildings. I think next time we will try to get to the Rail Road Museum...More

We arrived late and wanted to get out and about for a few hours and this fitted the bill. Strangely located under the shadow of the freeway! It was Sunday evening so some of the shops were closed but there were still plenty of bars...More

I like Firehouse for the seafood, but I guess it depends on what style you want. For a good pub-burger go to O’Malleys Irish pub.
