We went on the guided tour, with Don....a wealth of information about the cars, the industry and the players. I liked hearing which cars ran, which didn't, and how the museum came to acquire them! Don was really good at explaining the different parts and how they operated - I'm no auto mechanic but he explained the different technologies very... More

This museum has a changing theme approximately twice a year. Last year was camping trailers, and this year it is motorcycles. Museum is very cold had a sweat shirt and beanie on! Many leaks in the roof and some cars have plastic on them. Docent's are plenty and they are helpful.

A great collection of cars and motorcycles from different eras. Pre-1900s up. There is a banquet room for parties or meetings. The collections keep changing so you'll never know what new cars are there. They even have an area where cars are being sold. I liked the cars from the 50s, 60s and 70s, more from my time. The museum... More

We attended a private party here and were amazed at all the cars they have! The selection through the years is incredible. A great place to visit just for what they have here!

Very interesting, but was a little difficult to locate. You do need at least an hour and a half to have a good wander around.

First we want to give a shout-out to our docent (think his name was John). My husband has been collecting cars and going to car shows for almost 50 years and the docent still was able to tell him a few things he didn't know already. It made the tour much more interesting. This collection is HUGE. The only reason... More

This was a trip down memory lane. Wonderful exhibits of the history of the motor car and they even have a section where some classic cars are for sale.

We spent the bulk of a day at the California Auto Museum, which was excellent. They have a historically sequenced format of exhibits, which begins with some of the very first automobiles, transitions through the early days of automobile development, and ultimately takes you to the modern era. They also have some alternate-fuel vehicles, and a big exhibit of motorcycles.... More
