My 8 yo niece and I visited the Capitol last Friday. Lots of children with their teachers were there to visit as well. To enter, you have to pass through security ( I get it). The personnel outside the Governor's office were all friendly. We...More

The area surrounding the capitol is very beautiful. Lots of big trees, plants, and green grass to adore when near the capitol.

Visited with my son and 2 young grandchildren. Beautiful gardens. The firefighter and Viet Nam monuments are thought provoking and beautifully done. The kids enjoyed running around and chasing squirrels! I would love to go back when all the flowers are in bloom.

Another option is to take advantage of the "valet parking" at the restaurants across fro the park for $5 to $6 Then tip for $5 bucks and park longer time for less cost....
