I am a history and historical landmark admirer.... The Sacramento River Water Intake will be one of those landmarks, and although it is a relatively "newer" structure, it is worth a visit, especially for the kids in the Summer when they turn on the "ground"...More

This sticks out into the Sacramento River providing some great views. It is interesting for what it is. Standing there you hear the rush of the water and the hum of the engines. There is something majestic about the towering equipment inside the facility. An...More

The park is flooded, the picnic area is flooded, the road in is flooded and MANY homeless are in the area. Very unsafe.

Enjoyed gft shop. Take your patience though. Many opportunities to buy gifts of all sizes, shapes. Wish there had been a few more less-pricey items such as tiny train cars.

Nice river cycle/waling path. down side is their is a soup kitchen near I-5 and Richards and more then average homeless walking around. Most of them are harmless, just shoo them a way when you had enough.

Pretty cool for such a mundane operation...all glass if you want to look to see the turbines, but is a modern design with a great little park surrounding it...walkable from Old Sac and from the river - looks like it might be a 21st century...More

I walked out here while I was on the river walk and it was a wonderful stop. It was a hot, sunny day and this place provided some shade, a great breeze, and views of downtown and Old Sacramento. Definitely worth the stop.
