I really like going to Oldtown , it would be nice if they were able to stay open later. There are quite a few shops & resturants, they also have the Cinema.

For a very small street there is lots to do. There are excellent restaurants (Patria and First Awakenings), Maya movie theater, the antique store and Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings. It is a foodie paradise.

I enjoyed walking down the streets of old town in Salinas. We ate at a local restaurant and then took in a movie. Everything was well kept up and the locals are very friendly.

Not much to see or do unless your into people watching. Old run-down part of town with many empty boarded up businesses & drunks/homeless wandering everywhere asking for handouts. There is an old theatre a few businesses & a couple run down looking restaurants.

Don't miss the Cherry bean local institution, Bakery Station for the famous Belair or V W sandwiches. Must have a cookie as well, Gold Leaf Tea just for the joy of Terri Madrid, and don't forget Michaels Mexican

Really enjoyed walking around Oldtown in Salinas. The Steinbeck Library is a treat. Lots of places to eat and drink, and some cool shops and antiques. Many of the buildings are very interesting, such as the Taylor and some of the older ones. Was happy...More
