You'll not be able to drive certain cars because they're either in the shop or the staff don't want to deal with getting some of them too dirty. You'll have two hour lunches because they'll be missing transport vans. You'll have your curriculum changed to what makes it easier for the instructor, not what helps you learn. You'll have an... December 2016, Laguna Seca, CA. Instructor one hour late, couldn't find an open classroom for another hour, so out on the track with only 15 minutes of instruction. Another class needed to share the cars, so there were 9 working cars time-shared by 22 people. I wrote to Chris asking for a refund for the two hours of no instruction,... More

This use to be the best but now the worst school in the country. They went from Hero to Zero in the past three years with money problems. Ripping off the people that work for them. All the good employees quit!

Wow. Can't begin to describe how unprofessional and greedy this company runs. I signed up for 2 day course at Laguna Seca. Received an email at 2pm the day before stating that course would be modified because of several "incidents that occurred." It would now be a one-day only event, with 2 lapping sessions and corner feedback. Hardly the 2... More

We planned a trip to Savannah, GA last November 30th, 2015 and the 3 Day Class was cancelled the class due to mechanical issues with their cars. My fiancé is an active duty military and took a leave for this event. Nobody from the company notified him. We found out via car forum that this event was cancelled. He reached... More

After signing up for the 3 day open wheel school in September of 2015, in St. Louis, MO, I was contacted by a rep of Skip Barber Racing School whom informed me the class was canceled do to broken transmissions. The rep gave me the option of a refund, and I opted for it. I was told it would take... More

I enrolled my 16 year old daughter in Skip Barber's Teen Safety and Survival school at Road Atlanta. They started promptly at 8:30 AM. Todd Hanson, their instructor, was able to explain the dynamics of vehicle steering and braking in a simple understandable way. Their program covers crash avoidance, skid control, emergency braking and much more. They took my daughter... More

I have attended the following Skip Barber events: 3-day school, 2-day Advance school, 2015 Shoot out, 2016 Homestead Race. The Skip Barber school is incredible. I went from zero race car experience to competing in a series race in 12 months. The series treats me like a professional driver at the track. The coaching and crew is committed to ensure... More

Oldest race cars in the business and they look it. Poorly maintained mechanically and appearance wise these 40 + year old cars are ready for the junk yard. No data - no video no photo souvenirs. No polos or hats to purchase. Some people had paid full price but learned later that most around them had paid 40-50% LESS. ONLY... More

We had a less than good school at Laguna late last year. It was well below our standards. I am sorry that the experience was below all of our metrics. If you attended that school we are happy and feel obliged to provide a "make good" to you. In terms of pricing we run a high fixed cost business (similar... More

This business is a disgrace of the motorsport. Seems that in the past it used to be a good racing school (perhaps back in those days when Skip Barber himself was in charge), but apparently not any longer. Actually, you are very unlikely to be able to figure out the quality of the "racing education" there, because first of all... More
