A rare opportunity to view the evolution of wave riding from the early 1900s to the present day. An incredible selection redwood, spruce, balsa, and fiberglass boards spanning the last century with information on the shapers and surfers of each period. As special as the boards and other items are; the staff is what sets this location apart. Linda, Barry... More

The center is well designed and very informativ. We visited on a rainy day and enjoyed it a lot. The displays are well organized and you get everything from fun facts to actual facts.

It is in a small industrial/business area so don't panic or feel lost on the way! It is worth the visit. A very impressive collection of surfboards which perfectly... More

The San Clemente Surf Museum has an amazing collection of surf boards that represent many decades of surfing. Each has an informative bit about when, who and how the board was used. There is also a changing exhibit that includes some type of multi-media and pictures and accompanying reading material. We came on a drizzly, cloudy day and at first... More

Fascinating history of surfing and it's evolution from 100# redwood boards to about the 1970's. Nice T-shirt for $10 too.

My brother and I have surfed since the sixties and really enjoyed the care and effort put into this exhibit. We spent a good part of the afternoon at the culture center and sincerely enjoyed the look into the past.
