If we could give half-stars, I would have given this place three and a half. Like the previous reviewer, I was not thrilled to discover that there are actually no quilts on display at the moment. The facility is not large, and they seem to...More

This museum has a world famous collection of American and Californian quilts. But they aren’t on show and haven’t been for over a year. What is on view this week is cutting paper pieces, a feeble Installation by Frau Fiber (that attempts to preach the...More

We were visiting San Jose and decided to tour the museum. We were overwhelmed by the emotional quilts displayed for the Guns: Loaded Conversations exhibit. The quilts were truly works of art. It's impossible to visit this museum and not gain a greater appreciation for...More

The museum offers a variety of textile related exhibits that are usually of good quality, although lately they seem to have drifted away from their focus on quilts.

Not a large museum, but mind bogeling. Loved the colors, textures, displays and how the colors of the walls compliment the beautiful quilts. Mostly modern, some traditional, all exceptional displays of workmanship, creativity and beauty. Must see when you are in San Jose.

The museum is tiny. The exhibit on display was minimal and not very interesting. Glad we only paid $8. Make sure you explore exactly what is on display before you go. It changes often so maybe there will be something more interesting and substantial for...More
