That which is on display is worth seeing, however, emphasis is on large works of modern design. Better use of the intramural space could have been made by use of display boards for a variety of smaller works. During my visit there were no historic...More

Quilting and textiles aren't well appreciated by everyone....but for those of you that do, this is a GREAT place. In fact, the museum gets a 4 rating from me based on other places I've seen. But I actually rated this a 3 as a "general"...More

I took a 2 session class taught by the curator of the museum. Our second session was at the museum and the quilts in the exhibition (it ended January 15) were fascinating and beautiful. Located in a spot on South first St., (parking on the...More

We felt we didn't get value for our admission price as there were only a handful of quilts on display, all of a similar style and by the same maker. It would be a good idea to check what's on display before making the decision...More

This is a gem for anyone interested in textiles, craft or even fashion. Exhibits change on a regular basis. I wouldn't take young children or an irritable husband but any adult who wants a "different" museum, should swing by.

A small museum dedicated to the huge world of quilts. There are always two exhabits and some times three. Each gallery has wonderful lighting. The gift shop is fantastic full of amazing hand crafted items. And best of all there is plenty of metered parking...More

I love quilts and enjoy seeing well-made ones. This is not the place. These are 'art' rather than well-constructed quilts, and frankly, the 'art' did nothing for me. If you enjoy interpreting art, you might like this, but if you want to see something pretty,...More
