This was an amazing building with lots of history. We popped our heads in after reading about the church in a tourist book. A wedding was just beginning so of course we didn't stay. But had a quick chance to see the beautiful domed ceilings...More

My wife and I looked for a church and walked to St Joseph's. We attended the Friday 12 noon Mass and it was a great community of people. Visit not only to see the wonderful church. Try to attend Mass and feel the community there.

The layout is different than your typical church or Cathedral and it is truly beautiful. The artwork is excellent. The statues are gorgeous. Loved it.

We spent some quiet time in this amazingly beautiful cathedral in downtown San Jose. Just beautiful!

The seat of the Bishop of San Jose, this huge cathedral features seating around three-quarters of the altar. Numerous statues fill niches, and the presence (tabernacle) is separated and behind the seating for the celebrants.

Nice place to visit if you are in town. Beautiful church with the stations of the cross. They give out lunch to the homeless each day.

The Basilica was renovated a number of years ago and is beautiful inside. Make sure to catch a winter concert there because the acoustic s are amazing. Parking on the street or in lots nearby (for a fee)

It so nice to go into this cathedral and sit down in the peace and quite. The inside is exquisitely painted and adorned. I highly recommend you take a peek at this beautiful piece of historical architecture.

Hello. I'll be visiting San Jose pretty soon and this Church is certainly a MUST. Is it open all day for the public? I'll love to take photos of the interiors and exterior during the day and at night. Any ideas on permits or what I need to do without having any issues. Many thanks, Dami

I visited the church in the morning around 8 am during the weekdays and they have no services so was able to walk about freely. It is wise to check the church website for mass schedule to avoid the crowd. FYI there is... More
