Who knew there was this hidden garden mixed into the suburban Southbay landscape. Even during the dead of winter... well for California... this park has an eloquent subtle beauty.

This is a very nice rose garden. Volunteers try very hard to keep it looking nice. It's not huge, so it's an easy stroll and the paths are good.

The Rose Garden was where my Husband and I were married almost 40 years ago. It is a beautiful location.

We came in because we saw the reviews saying you could see flowers all year long but unfortunately there's not much to see except the fountain at the gate. Late December is not a good timing for visiting.

i hope you will return to the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden during the Spring, Summer and Fall months to see the 4,000 roses in bloom. Yes, late December is not a good time to expect to see roses in bloom. Roses need to be cut back in the Winter to go dormant. The first week of January, the 4,000... More

5 1/2 acres of rose shrubs and vines and large expanses of lawn make this city park one of the most beautiful spots of San Jose. There are redwood trees and walking paths, as well as picnic tables and barbeques available. The location is good: it sits in the beautiful old Rose Garden neighborhood. Walkers use the park regularly. The... More

I went here with my wife. Welcoming and delightful place to meet and be romantic. Even though it was December, we enjoyed the scene.

Great place for a walk and take a sniff of the fragrance of roses. Benches to sit on and pool to reflect by are present.

Great place to graduate at, amazing place to take pictures, otherwise nothing much to do. Parking sucks.

WE planned a picnic ( from Zanottos) and explored and photographed the exquisite roses. Flowers of every shade and hue. Beautiful park. Easy parking.

I expected to be a big park but it wasn't. Definitely isn't the best to do in San Jose. There are others parks much more interesting.

Thank you for stopping by and smelling the roses. The San Jose municipal Rose Garden encompasses a full city block measuring over 7 acres. One half of that is dedicated to over 4000 rosebushes, encompassing 250 different varieties. The peak of the rose blooming season is April to June, and it's quite amazing that we still have many roses in... More
