Since they changed the traffic flow it is very difficult to drive through downtown Willow Glen and parking can be very difficult on weekends. Resturants for every taste the new Purple Onion is a stop for coffee or lunch however the coffee is more expensive than Peet's and not as good.

Love downtown willow glen! They have lots of cute restaurants (so much variety!), shops and banks. The area is really clean and a great place to go for a walk, a date or a fun evening out. There are so many different shops there's something for everyone! Kid's bookstore, ice cream stores, furniture shops, bike store, etc. Definitely stop by!

The Table is a great place to eat and will definitely go back. It can get crowded so make reservations. Parking can be tricky in this area, so plan ahead. Lots of good restaurants to try, cute and fun shops and the best children's bookstore - Hicklebee's - in San Jose!

Can't beat Willow Glen for a change from mall shopping and chain restaurants. Lots of boutiques, interesting restaurants (my favorite is Aqui - including the bar) from brunch to dinner to late nite. A few antique stores, pet shops. . . well, there's just a bunch to do in a few blocks. Worth a visit for local flavor.

If you have time and you want to wander a bit, Willow Glen will work for you. Buy a coffee at the south end of Lincoln Avenue (Starbucks) or the north end (Peet's) then wander along the main drag and check out the assorted retailers and restaurants in between. Good for couples going out to dinner. Good for teens looking... More

We went to downtown Willow Glenn and afterwards drove the various neighborhood streets to see the Christmas decorations. Each street does a theme such as Christmas trees, Candy Canes, etc. Its always magical fun for the holidays. Its also free.

This part of San Jose was its own semi-autonomous community for many years up until the 1950s or so, and it has a mixture of nice coffee shops, restaurants and banks within about a five block stretch of Lincoln Ave. There are no chain retail stores but several boutique shops. It is convenient to the Tamien Caltrain/light rail/bus station and... More
