Is close, the VTA cross and it takes you all over the city. There’s always yoga in the mornings, basketball and other activities thought the day.

Nice city park. Trains cut through (safely), and there is a sizable homeless population, but still feels safe and beautiful, and has some history in it.

A small Oasis in San Jose, used to be the central square for the city hall, jail and churches all fronted the park. Biggest claim to fame: the last public lynching (in California)occurred here in 1933 when John Holmes and Thomas Thurmond got dragged out...More

Fresh air and lots of people having good fun with their dogs, surrounded with beautiful buildings, like the postal office and art decorations. The VTA is just great to arrive in for the free Wi-Fi.

Once a nice public space that has been transformed into a hobo mecca. I do not recommend that anyone strolls there alone after sunset. During the day it looks pleasant enough from a distance, as it is a sizable park and surrounded by pleasant architecture....More

From afar, it might look like a pleasant park to stroll through, but once you get inside you realize it's full of people using drugs and or trippin' on drugs. There is a playground where some families play, but mostly, I'd avoid it.

This park really needs to get cleaned up. It is located in downtown San Jose when many beautiful buildings are, but it is not safe. The playgrounds and tables are flithy. Homeless are sleeping all over the grassy area, and many undiserables just hanging out....More

Its true that there are homeless who sleep here; on the other hand, across the tram tracks are the historic and beautiful central post office, and the sandstone old courthouse. There is also a statue of Pres. Wm. McKinley and accompanying cannon aimed at the...More
