A very colorful wall, but it's a little gross. Reminded me of elementary school years when kids put gum under desks and chairs. Worth a quick look but not worth a special trip to see these walls.

It's a must do when visiting SLO; a rich history from its sticky beginnings to the present. At night, it is a bit on the gross side with the smell of rancid sugar and spit, but get a photo and marvel at the history of gum. Read the paper notes and the creative designs in gum art. It is something... More

Named one of the weirdest tourist attractions in the world. It is what it sounds like: a narrow alley covered in used bubblegum, and it's still taking contributions. If you're in San Luis Obispo's downtown area, you're in walking distance. When looking the direction traffic flows, it's located on the left side of Higuera - downtowns Main Street. If your... More

I wanted to see this just so I could say I had and cross it off the list of things I'd done on this holiday. When I got to it it knocked me sick. It was vile. I mean it's loads of chewed gum on a wall. I visited at night so maybe in the day all the different colours... More

Very bizarre! The odour was apparent without entering the alley. We chose not to enter...all a bit weird.

I'm rating this attraction a 2 simply because I really did want to see it...and I did. I have to say that I was expecting walls of different colorful bubblegum, but instead saw walls of bubblegum that had turned brown and nasty. Oh well, I can cross this one off my list.

I passed by the alley at least 6 times in the AM before I found it in the afternoon, when a line had formed. You can smell the gum before even stepping into the narrow alley. Don't get too close to the walls. Ick!

Yes it is exactly what it looks like. A local point of pride really. If you're walking around downtown you may as well stop and take a look, perhaps even take a moment to contribute!

Not sure this is everyone's cup of tea! One quirky kinda place but if you're in the neighborhood then chew some gum & add it up on the collection!
