We loved this beautiful trail. However, we went in the afternoon on a week day in winter so it wasn't crowded at all. Numerous viewpoints make it even better. If you are a fast cyclist, I would ride elsewhere. This trail is full of pedestrians...More

This trail is 6 miles each way along the Crystal Springs Reservoir for a total of 12 miles round trip. The trail is paved throughout. I normally start on the Millbrae side and park at the top of Hillcrest by the freeway entrance. When you...More

Best trail for family with kids to walk in, or taking their bikes there. Water on one side and trees on the other, lots of wild flowers and deers.

This is an easy, lovely walk next to Crystal Springs Resevoir. The only reason I give it a four rather than a five is that it can be very crowded. Walkers, runners, bikers from trail open to close. Parking can also be difficult. But, if...More

This is the most peaceful place to visit. You can enjoy this trail for slow to fast moving or just go a short way to the bench. The view is spectacular. Peace 💕

This looked like a great location for a trail near lake, but it has a fence and there is no access to a lake. After 1 mile down the road we decided to go back. I think it more suitable for bike rides.

You can join people walking, pushing strollers, biking, running on this beautiful trail next to the reservoir. Sometimes you get to see a bit of wildlife like deer.

We have walked/bicycled the Sawyer Road trail from the days where you could still drive along the road. Now it is an asphalt-covered stretch going through the Crystal Springs watershed, where water from the Sierra is stored before being treated and used by Peninsula/SF residents....More

If you come here early as the morning chill is still in the air and the fog is rolling by, you can easily forget that you are in an urban jungle. Great for walking, running, bicycling, by yourself or with friends and families. Convenient with...More

A beautiful, paved walk along the reservoir. Easy grade for all levels. Several benches along the way to sit, relax, meditate or have lunch. Sanitary facilities but no drinking water. See deer, birds and other small woodland creatures. Parking is tricky especially on the weekends....More
